1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using IPLocatePro's API service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

IPLocatePro provides an IP geolocation API that returns location information for IP addresses. The Service includes access to our REST API endpoints, documentation, and dashboard for managing API keys.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and obtain an API key. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. API Usage and Rate Limits

Your use of the API is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier:

  • Free: 1,000 requests per day
  • Pro: 100,000 requests per day
  • Enterprise: 1,000,000 requests per day

Exceeding your rate limit may result in temporary suspension of your API access. Repeated violations may result in account termination.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
  • Distribute malware or engage in malicious activities
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use the Service for illegal surveillance or stalking
  • Scrape or harvest data in violation of our guidelines

6. Data Accuracy

While we strive for high accuracy, geolocation data is inherently imprecise. The Service is provided "as is" and we make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the geolocation data. You should not rely on this data for safety-critical applications.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by IPLocatePro and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The geolocation data is derived from MaxMind's GeoLite2 database.

8. Payment and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall IPLocatePro be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IPLocatePro from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
